The Sacramento Project

Begun in the winter of 2006, this project was the combined effort of lead designer, Dylan Tellesen, and mosaic artist, Robin Indar. Comprised of six separate projects in one, it took the team nearly 8 months to complete while working in nearly every type of weather you can imagine. Finally, it resulted in a swimming pool and spa, two benches, an outdoor fireplace, a lizard fountain, and a colorful, spiraling walkway. Many of the tiles in this project were handmade by Robin and fired in her kiln at home.

Outdoor Fireplace

Accented with handmade 'blister' tiles and 'Ochre O's ' and built to sustain both wood and gas fires.

The fire shown here is an obvious internet download, but it's just to give you the idea.
